Building software, one project at a time. Currently studying Software Engineering and shipping what I learn along the way.
FIG. 01 / VITOR CARVALHO
In 2015 I finished high school and started a degree in Accounting, the practical choice at the time. It didn't take long to realize the thing that actually held my attention was on the other side of the building: Computer Science.
I switched paths and started studying programming, but financial constraints forced me to pause my studies before I could finish. In 2018 I made the decision to leave Brazil. I spent the following years in Germany, working jobs that had nothing to do with code. For a while, that even included selling gelato.
Years passed away from the field, but the original goal never really left. Eventually I came back to it and enrolled in Software Engineering at IU International University. These days I'm building projects, learning the fundamentals properly, and shipping what I make, this site included.
I TOOK A DIFFERENT PATH, BUT EVENTUALLY CAME BACK TO WHAT I WANTED TO BUILD.
A terminal application for tracking a personal games library: add, edit, and manage titles with statuses that persist between sessions.
